Dr. Haytham Salem is a British Family Medicine Consultant and a Sports Doctor who initially trained as an orthopaedic surgeon before transitioning to sports, musculoskeletal, and family medicine, where he has attained the status of a UK Family Medicine consultant with special interest in Sports and Musculoskeletal medicine. He has over 15 years of experience in elite athlete’s care including 8 years in English Premier League, having worked with Everton FC and Burnley FC, and has collaborated with esteemed managers including Carlo Ancelotti and Vincent Kompany. Currently, he serves as the Head of Medical Services at Al Nasr Sports Club in Dubai. Dr. Salem brings extensive expertise to Orthocure in the holistic management of joint pains and sports injuries through minimally invasive ultrasound- guided interventions. He still maintains his private clinics in London and Manchester, Arthregen Clinic; where he continues to care for numerous patients within the UK market.
Haytham is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in Ireland, holds a post- graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in UK and a post-graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the renowned International Olympic Committee in Switzerland. Haytham’s expertise in MSK Ultrasonography is reinforced by attaining a Post-Graduate Certificate in MSK U/S from Brunel University in London and is currently performing an average of 1500 Ultrasound guided injections into joints and soft tissues on annual basis.
Haytham is also a clinical supervisor and educator who supported the development of junior family and sports medicine doctors in London and Liverpool. He also supervised the development of lots of medical personnel in English football.
